RBG(2018)
dir. Betsy West & Julie Cohen
A quiet dissenter who reshaped the law from within.
Where to watch: Free on Kanopy, TubiLetterboxd ↗
The life and legal career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, from her early gender-discrimination casework to her late-career status as a pop-culture icon.
Why it’s here
Traces the actual legal strategy — the specific cases, the specific arguments — behind Ginsburg's reputation, so the pop-culture icon stuff doesn't crowd out the decades of unglamorous casework that got her there.
