The Picture of Dorian Gray(1945)
dir. Albert Lewin
The portrait ages. He doesn't. His soul does.

A beautiful young man wishes his portrait would age instead of him — and gets his wish, as the painting grows monstrous with every cruelty he commits while his own face stays untouched. Adapted from Oscar Wilde's only novel.
Why it’s here
Punk in making moral consequence literally visible while its owner stays consequence-free on the surface — Dorian's beauty is the disguise, the portrait is the receipt. Pedagogical in showing how a life built on hidden costs eventually presents its bill.
