This picture book gives young kids the real names for their body parts and a sentence they can say out loud: this is my body, and what I say goes. Sanders walks through safe and unsafe feelings, the difference between a secret and a surprise, and who to tell when something feels wrong. It teaches the earliest and plainest layer of consent, which is that a child gets to decide who touches them. Discussion questions give the grown-up something to say next.
